Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a group program cost?
Every group is quoted individually because the price depends on length, group size, ages, accommodation, and the activities you choose. As a guide, all-inclusive packages start from around $110 USD per student per day — covering a 3–4★ hotel (double occupancy), daily meals, two morning classes, afternoon culture and excursions, transfers, and insurance. Larger groups, shared rooms, younger student groups, and longer stays bring the cost down. Accompanying teachers travel at a reduced rate, and the registration fee is usually waived. Contact us for an exact quote — we customize the program and offer group discounts.
How large does our group need to be?
We welcome groups of all sizes. Most range from about 10 to 30 students plus accompanying teachers, but we can host smaller and larger groups too. The larger the group, the better the per-student rate.
How long are the programs and when can we come?
Programs typically run 1 to 4 weeks, with flexible start dates year-round. We build the schedule around your dates and goals, and custom lengths are welcome.
What does a typical day look like?
Two Chinese classes in the morning (about 9:00am–12:00pm), grouped by level after an arrival placement. Afternoons alternate between hands-on cultural workshops on campus and guided excursions around Kunming. Evenings are free, with meals at the hotel.
Do students need a visa?
For short study tours, most groups travel on a regular tourist visa, and we provide an official invitation letter to support the application. For longer stays, we can support the X2 short-term student visa with an admission letter and the necessary documents — we recommend applying two to three months in advance.
What ages can join?
We host school groups (including teens aged 12–17), university cohorts, and adult and family groups. There's no upper age limit, and classes are grouped by level and age so everyone learns at the right pace.
Are accommodation and meals included?
Yes. All-inclusive packages cover a comfortable 3–4★ hotel near campus (typically two students per room) with daily meals, so students and teachers stay and eat together for safety and convenience. We tailor rooming and dietary needs to your group.
How do we book, and can the program be customized?
Send us your group size, dates, and interests, and we'll prepare a draft itinerary and quote. You can request changes until it's exactly right. A 30% deposit secures your booking; the balance is due before arrival. Everything — classes, activities, excursions, and add-ons such as weekend trips — is fully customizable.
