A private Mandarin course that fits real life
KCEL's online program brings the same individual attention as our in-person 1-on-1 classes to students anywhere in the world. Your teacher adapts the pace, content, and practice to the way you learn—not to a fixed group syllabus.
You can build everyday speaking confidence, follow a structured HSK path, prepare for work in Chinese, or combine those goals in one study plan. Classes are live, practical, and centered on active use of Mandarin.
How it works
From first meeting to steady progress
Receive a personal plan
We confirm your teacher, class access, available study times, and course focus privately. Schedules are confirmed in Beijing time.
Start with a level check
Join 15 minutes early for your first class to test audio and video, discuss goals, and fine-tune the plan.
Learn and adjust
Your teacher tracks progress, shares materials digitally, and adapts future lessons as your needs change.
A sample pathway
Four months, paced around you
Every schedule is personal. A four-month, 30-class plan could begin gently and increase once the learning routine is established.
Settle in
One 45-minute class per week for the first two weeks.
Build momentum
Two 45-minute classes per week for the remainder of the program.

Class guidelines
Simple expectations keep every session useful
Class access and direct student-teacher communication details are shared privately after enrollment.
Before the first class
Follow the access instructions provided after enrollment and join 15 minutes early so you can test your connection with your teacher.
Cancellations and rescheduling
Please request changes at least 24 hours in advance so the class can be moved without losing the session.
Custom course requests
Give your teacher at least three days' notice before starting a new custom topic so suitable materials can be prepared.
Learning materials
KCEL provides digital textbooks, worksheets, and exercises. You do not need to buy materials before class.
