Teaching Chinese as a foreign language for business is an abbreviation for "the teaching of
business Chinese vocabulary to foreigners". As Chinese teaching is aimed at foreigners, it is not only a second language teaching, but also a foreign language teaching. It belongs to the same nature as the teaching of second language and other foreign languages, such as English teaching and French teaching. In the process of teaching and learning business Chinese, it also involves some differences from ordinary Chinese teaching and learning -- taking business activities as the Chinese learning content as the guidance, mastering some knowledge and information about Chinese business activities, and laying a certain foundation for better promoting the development of Chinese and foreign business and promoting economic globalization. In the whole process, the first and most important thing is how to guide foreigners to "teach" and "learn" the general foreign language (meaning Chinese in this article ).
At present, Chinese teaching is an independent subject, which has been accepted by more and more people. The old misconception that the Chinese can be taught as long as they are Chinese, which ignores linguistic theory, must be corrected.
Chinese has its particularity, it is a set of: shape, sound, meaning of the three as one of the characters, and the indo-european language system of pinyin, was originally the opposite, Chinese is a ideographic language record language system, the famous writer, the philologist wang meng pointed out: Chinese is the character standard. Therefore, the teaching method of Chinese should be different from that of the language using pinyin.
Famous linguist xu tongqiang has a more comprehensive and systematic discussion on the characteristics of Chinese characters and Chinese language: "character" is actually a structural unit of form, sound and meaning, and it is unreasonable to regard it as a writing unit of a character. We need to re-recognize the position of "character" in the structure of Chinese language, study its nature and function with the theories and methods of modern linguistics, combine tradition with modernity, and promote the study of Chinese language. It is a change of Chinese linguistic concept to regard "character" as the basic structural unit of Chinese syntax and put "word" aside or in a secondary position.
Over the years, China's teaching of Chinese as a foreign language has been following the path of the western pinyin characters, not based on the characteristics of Chinese characters and Chinese or take the road of independent innovation. When a particular school of western linguistics emerges, we blindly and unanalytically "copy" it, and impose on it the views of foreign linguists, thus it will be complicating a very simple problem.
